Dramatization of Germany’s Men’s Team: More Airtime for Nagelsmann

December 30, 2025

Already annoying, this artificial hype.

Whoever doesn’t beat Luxembourg at home has no business being at a World Cup, end of story.

And Northern Ireland should not be a hurdle either, if you consider yourself on a level with Spain, France and England.

Bringing Neuer back? An insult to the current, absolutely good goalkeepers, Baumann, Atubolu or ter Stegen; one could without hesitation also place Zentner, Dahmen or Schwäbe in goal.

Germany may have a too-slow defensive midfield, too few incisive number nines, and traditionally no strong full-backs. A goalkeeper problem, certainly not. Anyway, TV is trying to hype a decidedly dull product (football) as the mother of all crime stories; Germany will prevail, as always, just as Bayern will always become champions (yes, 2024 not, otherwise always). You can watch it, but you don’t have to.
