We Are Fed Up Protest in Berlin: Support for Animal Husbandry

February 3, 2026

@Günter Witte:

That is classic disinformation on your part.

NABU receives about 3.8 million euros per year for nature conservation, landscape management, and village renewal according to nature-conservation criteria.

The BUND receives a six-figure annual amount for environmental and nature-conservation projects.

The two nature-conservation organizations finance themselves primarily through membership fees, donations, and public subsidies; only a small portion comes from EU funding. I would like to remind you that many voluntary citizens contribute to NABU and BUND. They repair or at least attempt to mitigate the damage caused by conservative agricultural policy in close cooperation with the German Farmers’ Association.

The corporations involved are publicly traded corporations whose sole aim is profit maximization.

For example Nordzucker, Südzucker, but also family-owned businesses such as Wiesenhof, Tönnies-Fleisch, both linked to the Wesjohann and Tönnies billionaires! …. They each receive 1-1.5 million euros per year from the EU.

That is what this is about.
